Startups using space technology can now receive up to €200,000 in support from the ESA BIC Czech Republic
This year, the European Space Agency’s Business Incubator (ESA BIC) will select new startups to receive financial and technical support to get their business off the ground. By linking up with the Technology Incubation project, the newly selected projects can receive up to €200,000 in support, instead of the current maximum of €50,000. Both programmes are managed by CzechInvest Agency.
“By linking the two programmes, we can increase the support of the European Space Agency with national resources and make the development of innovative companies in the Czech Republic as efficient as possible. In addition, space startups will have access to our entire startup network and the space sector will be even more connected to other sectors we are working on in the Technology Incubation. These include for example mobility or Tech4Life, which includes both defence and health protection,” explains Tereza Kubicová, CzechInvest’s deputy for technology development.
Entrepreneurs can submit their ideas until 22 March 2024. The first step to apply for incubation is an individual business plan consultation, during which the ESA BIC team will help each applicant to prepare their application.
